Rush Limbaugh played a snippet today by campaigning Barack Obama that really said volumes about his view of the world. Here’s what Obama said (paraphrased):
“[It’s time to let go of]…the tired old theory that we should give more to billionaires and big corporations in the hopes that it will trickle down.”
“WE should give more to billionaires and big corporations.” Just mull that over for a second. It seems that in Obama’s mind all of the money earned by Americans automatically belongs to ‘the government’ (that’s who the ‘We’ represents), and whatever they decide to let us keep amounts to the government giving us a handout.
Here’s a newsflash for Mr. Obama: Billionaires and big corporations support the government, not the other way around. If not for Billionaires and big corporations, you’d be out of job.
